WEIGHT TRAINING AND BODYBUILDING

Bodybuilding

H.I.T. by Mike Mentzer and John Little Mike Mentzer's follow-up to his signature Heavy Duty  bodybuilding principles. H.I.T (High Intensity Training) limits the training time to about 40 minutes, even for high level athletes. Heavy weights and  short, very non-aerobic workouts. The late Mike Mentzer made headway's as a top bodybuilder in the 1980s, before overwork and speed pills led to his mental breakdown, which I guess serves as a warning to all - there is more to life than work. Coined the phrase and created the T-shirt "Steroids - The Breakfast Of Champions"  One advantage for martial artists is that when using HIT/Heavy Duty, you can make great gains in muscle, while not having to worry about aerobics - your martial art workouts will take care of that.
